Our Story

Four generations in the same Delaware ground

Farm Made Organics Co. isn't a marketing company that outsourced a formula to a lab. We're a working family farm in Laurel, Delaware — four generations deep in the same ground — and every product we sell started as something we needed for our own fields first.

Over those generations we learned one lesson the hard way: you don't get a great lawn or a great crop by feeding the plant. You get it by feeding the soil. Synthetic salt fertilizers force a quick flush of top growth and leave the ground underneath exactly as tired as they found it. Real, lasting growth starts below the surface — in root depth, in nutrient uptake, and in the biology that healthy ground depends on.

Why we bottled it

Humic+ is the product of that lesson. We developed it to bring our own worked soil back to life — a concentrated blend of humic acid, fulvic acid and Ascophyllum nodosum sea kelp — and we ran it on the crops our own family depends on for seasons before we ever put it in a bottle. What you're buying is the same thing we use.

Then we paid someone to try to disprove it

Anyone can say their product works. So before we built this site, we commissioned an independent evidence review of 127 peer-reviewed studies, meta-analyses and university turf trials covering our three ingredients — and we specifically asked for the negative results to be included.

Some of what came back was not flattering. Leonardite-sourced humic acid, which is what we use, averaged lower in the largest meta-analysis than compost-derived sources. Several claims we could have put on the label — water retention, wear tolerance, building organic matter — turned out to be contradicted by field data. Humic acid with no fertilizer behind it failed to carry a lawn at all.

We published all of it anyway, on The Science page. Not because it's good marketing, but because we'd rather sell to someone who knows exactly what they're getting. A customer who expects a green lawn by Saturday is going to be disappointed and ask for a refund, and they'd be right to.

What we stand behind

Every bottle carries a full guaranteed analysis — 5.01% humic acid, 0.42% fulvic acid — with no mystery blends and no inflated numbers. That matters more than it sounds: California's fertilizer inspection program found that over half of the humic products it sampled failed to meet their own labeled guarantee. Ours is real, and we'll stand on it.

Behind that is a 30-day, 100% money-back guarantee. If it doesn't earn its place in your yard the way it earned its place in our fields, we'll refund you, no questions asked. Keep the bottle.

When you buy from Farm Made Organics Co., you're not funding an ad budget. You're backing a family that farms.
